There are many advantages to becoming a worksite which include getting short term projects completed, curbing the temporary staffing costs, and most importantly, training the future of your field. Last year, over 250 Richmond youth received an opportunity to work up to 100 hours in many of our local leading industries. Not only did our youth receive a sense of economic empowerment, they also gained a sense of responsibility that boosted their self-confidence, acquired new skills, and contributed to their families and communities.
To be considered for the opportunity to become a SYEP worksite, please complete the on-line request form.
While we understand that not all businesses are in the position to provide a temporary worksite for our youth this summer, please understand that it takes approximately $1500.00 to provide a Richmond youth with 100 hours of subsidized work experience. In the event that you are able to provide a financial contribution, please make checks payable to “Richmond - SYEP” and send them directly to RichmondWORKS 330 25th St, Richmond, CA 94804.
