On November 5, 2019, 15 Richmond and North Richmond community members were appointed to the Richmond Fund for Children and Youth Oversight Board.
Some of the demographics of the 15-member Oversight Board appointees include:
- 8 appointees are between the ages of 15 and 24 years old
- 7 appointees are over 24 years of age
- 11 neighborhood councils are represented by applicants from the Northern, Central and Southern districts, as well as unincorporated North Richmond
- 5 preferred appointees are a parent of a Richmond youth
- 3 local high schools are represented (Kennedy, El Cerrito and De Anza)
- Multiple languages are represented by applicants
- Gender identities include 12 females and 3 males
- Educational backgrounds range from High School to Ph.D. Degrees
